Web Design Senior

Hello! Cornell tech was the most fun trip we had in our first semester of senior year. We were invited to Cornell tech to present our idea and work. It wasn't that packed but we have 4 guests that were judging us, giving us a compliment and respective criticism so we can learn from our mistakes or improve overall. We had to present out shark tank project and by doing this we had an actual audience and a setting so we know how it feels to present in a large crowd also it gave us a real-life experience. I learned a lot from this and we had to say goodbye to Mr. Lim after this project. But it was fun and very helpful for our future.

Hello everyone! Lab 12 was a very fun and fairly simple lab. Our assignment was to create a page with 4 youtube videos. And once you click on the video it will expand the video and it will be playable with in the page. And the video comes straight from youtube. We received a pre made made with error in code so we basically had to debug the page and make it work. So that when you click the video the video will play and it will also say the name of the video and who made the video. But for extra credit you can add a heart so once you click on the heart it will make the heart red. And it will stay like that and will be listed in a different section as your favorite video. One more extra thing that i added as you can track how much subscriber each page have once you hover over the profile picture. Over all this lab was very fun and simple.  thats how my page looked.

Hello everyone! Lab 13 was very simple lab. We had to continue our lab 12 and build on to it. It was basically add buttons so that you can directly share the video on your social media. or save the picture on online platform. I had to use twitter, tumbler and printers due to the block of firewall in our school. So we had to use ajax with jason file to make this lab. And it works. This is very important for me because if i am building a webpage for a client i can keep the option so they can directly share instead to copying and pasting link then writing a post about that. But with this i can pre write a brief description all they have to do is one click and they share it. this is how the buttons look.  This is how the buttons looked before it was clicked. And after clicking thats how it looked.

Hello! Lab 14 was very simple lab all we had to do was to build on to our lab 13. And we had to add a search button so that you can use it directly from the page. The search buttons link was provided to us but it wasn't correctly done so we have to find a way to fix it so that the search button works. And once you search in that search button it directly takes you to a the youtube page and shows you all the search results. This is important because when we build our own page if there is a search that doesn't show up in the page it will show  So once you use this button it will directly take you to youtube and show you all the results.

Hello everyone! Lab 15 is an entire different lab and our main task was to make a key pad. So once you click on certain keys it will play certain sound. Our second was to add a clock the time. It cant be a digital clock it needs to be a manual circle clock. This lab was fairly was. so for that we needed assign an mp3 file to each button so once one is pressed it would play that sound. And for the clock you need to use javascrip . and it automatically times it self. It was fairly simple and fun and here is a picture of what it looks like.

Hello everyone! Lab 16 was the most fun lab to do during the semester. It was very simple. We basically had to update css with javascript. So this way we can blur a picture to as much as we want. Change color on certain part to what we like or change the sizing of the bordering. It wasn't very complicated but i did have some trouble but i ended up fixing it. I had the wrong javascript file but it was easy to fix.  So this is how the page starts off. And you can use the drag button to adjust how much blue you want or use the color picker to change the color of the border and its width.                                                                            

Hello everyone! Lab 17 was a challenging lab for us. We had to create a rock paper scissor game. sounds very simple but the rules were reversed and you play with a computer. So for this lab every one struggled but in reality it wasn't that hard. We had to use if and else statement. and we gave rock, paper and scissor a value and used if else statement to verify and to make the conditions work. So this is how my page looked.   and once you play it tells you the result. if you won it says you won. if you loose it says you loose and if its a tie then it says its a tie.

Hello! This is our first WBL meeting of the semester. Andover here we basically recapped our rights and work safety tips. We had a similar WBL in junior year. where you basically learn about work safety. Your rights like what you can do, what to do and what not to do. And who to ask for help when needed. We learned that as students we can only work 20 hours a week and we cant do work where there is safety hazard. And we have the option to say no if they offer a task that was not listed in the job description. We also learned how kids got injured and lost their life because of not following safety hazard. And overall its very important for us to know our rights and be benefited form it.

Hello! This is the second WBL we had in this first semester. It wasn't mainly a way to find out own personal traits and what type of jobs will be for us. We are high school seniors. And we will be going to college. and before that, we need to kind of have an idea of what type of jobs or majors that will fit for us. So we had this WBL meeting where we answered basic questions to find out what type of person we are. Not only that we also learned our weakness and strength. This is important because by this way we know what we are bad at and can work our way to fix it. That was it for wbl career development 2.

Hello! This is the reflection journal about our podcast project. So for this podcast, we had to pick 2 different podcast station and build a webpage about them. And we had to explain what the podcast is about and give a brief description. Then link the podcast audio. It wasent hard to create but I accidentally deleted my main file so I am currently working to fix it. We also had to make a game based on one of the podcast. One of the podcasts that I chose was the new frontier and it was about colonizing Mars It was by ted radio hour and it's very interesting. I recommend you listing to it,.
